Yangzhong Zhou was born in Huaian, Jiangsu, China, in 1971. He received the Ph.D. degree in power electronic and power drive from the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2007 and further studied in Electrical Engineering Discipline Postdoctoral Station of Southeast University, China, from 2013 to 2015. In 2007, he joined Fuzhou University, Fuzhou, China, where he is currently Professor.
He serves currently as contributing reviewers to authoritative journals of IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, Proceedings of The Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering, etc.
He devotes to the research of direct torque control and servo control of AC machine, fault-tolerant control of multiphase motor, wind power generation system and bearingless magnetic levitation motor control.
He’s researching work is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the China Fujian Province Natural Science Foundation and the Jiangsu Province Postdoctoral Science Foundation of China. He published more than 50 papers in the journals of IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, Proceedings of The Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering, Transactions of China Electrotechnical Society, etc., and published one academic monograph “Direct Torque Control of AC motor”. He owned 12 China 's invention patents and obtained second prize of the Fujian Provincial Natural Science outstanding academic papers for 3 times.
